Marks Tey to Colchester Walk
This walk combines a walk along part of the Essex Way with a scenic walk along the Colne Valley. It involves some road walking. Parts of the walk can be muddy at times.
Use Explorer Map 184. Alternatively, use OS Landranger Map 168.
Commences at Marks Tey rail station (on the Liverpool Street to Ipswich line) - Grid Reference TL 917239 - and ends at Colchester rail station (one stop further on towards Ipswich) - Grid Reference TL 991264.
Going: Mainly flat with only a few gradual climbs/descents (Relatively easy)
The walk involves crossing the busy A12 dual carriageway
Distance: Approximately 10.4 miles (16.6 Km)
