Leigh-on-Sea and Hadleigh Castle - this walk takes in the downs overlooking Canvey Island with the ruins of Hadleigh Castle and the marshy meadows along Benfleet Creek (approx. 7.2 miles; 8.2 miles including visit to Leigh-on-Sea pubs).
Maldon - A circular route based on Maldon's High Street combining a walk along rivers, canals and quays with quiet meadows and views over the Blackwater estuary (6.5 miles).
Salts Green to Great Waltham - this walk follows the Essex Way to the pretty villages of Pleshey & Great Waltham (7.5 miles)
Stock and Galleywood - a short but pretty loop walk based on Stock (6.6 miles).
Stock to Mill Green - this walk starts in the village of Stock and the route takes you westwards through pretty countryside to the village of Mill Green. There are 2 options for the return part of the journey, the first via the village of Ingatestone (approx. 6.8 miles) and the second via the village of Blackmore (8.4 miles).
Southminster & Tillingham - a circular walk based on Southminster Station that includes a small section of St Peter's Way and visits the pleasant village of Tillingham (approx. 8.7 miles).
White Notley & Cressing - a circular route, based on White Notley Station, which takes in two picturesque villages and the listed site, Cressing Temple (approx. 8.8 miles).
Wickford & Ramsden Heath - a circular route based on Wickford Station, taking in Ramsden Heath village (there are two versions - one of 7.3 miles and one of 8.2 miles).
Wickford & South Hanningfield - a circular route, based on Wickford Station, that has many fine viewpoints (8.2 miles).
Wrabness to Manningtree - this walk takes in the views along the estuary of the River Stour, following a section of the Essex Way (approx. 7.6 miles).
