River Crouch, East of Burnham-on-Crouch
Starting at Southminster, this walk is on the Dengie peninsula and, for part of it, follows the north bank of the River Crouch before ending in the town of Burnham-on-Crouch. A small amount of road walking is involved at each end of the walk.
Use OS Explorer Map 176; alternatively, OS Landranger Map 168.
The walk commences at Southminster rail station (on the London Liverpool Street/Shenfield to Southminster line) - Grid Reference TQ 996962 - and finishes at Burnham-on-Crouch rail station (one stop before Southminster on the same line) - Grid Reference TQ 948965. Note that there is only one train per hour in each direction.
Going: Mainly Flat (Easy) Distance: Approximately 9.1 miles (14.7 Km)
